Job Opportunities at our Clubhouse for 2019 Season

One is for our clubhouse and the other is a Rugby coordinator of development working with our JR program and helping to build our Senior programs.

We have 2 paid position for our club. One is for our clubhouse/ fields and facilities and the other is a Rugby coordinator of development working with our JR program and helping to build our youth and Senior programs.

We are accepting resumes for both positions:

1) Clubhouse Operations (Food & Beverage)
Pay: $17.50 per hour

Hours of work: 30 hours per week, Flexible hours including evenings (Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) and occasional Saturdays.
Period of Employment: May to July 26, 2019 with potential of extension to August 16.
Prerequisite (this is a Canada Summer Jobs supported position):
• Must be between 18-30 years of age.
• is a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or person on whom refugee protection has been conferred under the Immigration and Refugee Protection Act*; and
• (c) is legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial / territorial legislation and regulations.
Qualifications:
• The ideal candidate for this position will be from a community college, technical institute, or high school that is taking training in food management or facility management or have an interest, aptitude or experience in this type of work.
• This position will be ideal as an entry level experience in preparation for a future job in the food and beverage service industry or facility maintenance.
• This position is well suited for a newcomer to Canada who is looking for a practical experience to improve qualifications for future employment.

Duties:
1. Monitor all facility use during rugby practices and games.
2. Monitor all facility use during external rentals of facility.
3. Working alongside volunteers to provide food and beverage service to club members and customers. Primarily this is Tuesday, Thursday, Friday evenings with an occasional Saturday.
4. Process food and beverage sales by cash, debit or credit card, maintain daily float and complete daily income summary.
5. Assist in the planning and preparation of food and beverage service supporting the volunteer clubhouse manager.
a. Coordinate concession supplies.
6. Receive and coordinate rental bookings of facility and fields. Including issuing a facility rental application and liaising with potential clients to answer questions.
7. Maintain the cleanliness of clubhouse and dressing room facility.

2). Rugby Program Coordinator
Pay: $17.50 per hour

Hours of work: 30 hours per week, Flexible hours with evenings and Saturdays.
Period of Employment: May 21 to July 31, 2018

1. To support the Club coach in preparing weekly practice plans and drills for Junior/Senior; Female/Male rugby programs.
2. To coordinate the booking and monitoring of High School rugby games at the club facilities.
3. To coordinate and monitor rugby field assignments for junior, senior practices and games.
4. To assist in the planning and delivery of the School Rugby programs.
5. Submit bid for high school provincials tournament if possible.
6. Monitor high school rugby games and teams to identify talent for club, regional and provincial teams.
7. To assist in the planning of a Senior Club 7-a-side tournament.
8. Facilitate Alberta Junior Rugby Festivals at the club or in general.
9. To assist the coordinating committee for the annual Golf Tournament.
10. To assist the coordinating committee for the annual Druids Day and 25 anniversary of the Lynn Davies Rugby Park.
11. Develop, Market and conduct 3 weeks of Rugby & Sport Daycamp over the summer.
12. To assist in recruiting business and individuals to sponsor the club and facilities.
13. Other duties as may be assigned.
