The Women’s and Men’s rugby programs have formally announced their head coaching staff for the upcoming season.

Men's Team:

Peter Houlihan: Peter returns to the men's team after dedicating the previous two seasons to the women’s team. He possesses a substantial amount of experience, both as a player and coach for the Druids. Additionally, he brings expertise from his involvement with the University of Alberta Pandas rugby team, as well as from the Edmonton Gold and Alberta Wolfpack.

Chal Smyth: A long-standing player and coach for the Druids, Chal has previously worked with the women’s team. He is now returning to the senior men’s team after having coached the junior teams and various representative teams in recent years.

Women's Team:

Dan Noel: Dan brings a unique background to the rugby pitch, transitioning from his experience in barbecue competitions to coaching. He has successfully led numerous junior programs, achieving multiple victories and accolades within the community. His diverse sports background and unwavering dedication will be instrumental in refocusing our women’s team. With a strong commitment from a large number of players, the team is poised for an exciting season under Dan's leadership.

Ryan O'Donoghue: As a legacy Druid, Ryan had the distinguished opportunity to play alongside his father and son during the club’s 65th anniversary celebration last summer. He has also contributed significantly to the success of several junior programs. Ryan’s extensive knowledge and effective coaching methods align well with the developmental goals we have established for our women’s teams.
